In Unmade Film geht Uriel Orlow einem komplexen geschichtlichen Umstand nach. Ausgangspunkt der Arbeiten ist die im Nordwesten von Jerusalems gelegene Psychiatrische Klinik Kfar Sha'ul. Bei ihrer Gründung spezialisierte sie sich auf die Behandlung von Menschen, deren psychische Leiden sich auf Geschehnisse des Holocaust zurückführen liessen. Die Klinik befindet sich in Gebäuden des arabischen Dorfes Deir Yasin, dessen Bevölkerung 1948 einem Massaker von paramilitärischen zionistischen Einheiten zum Opfer fiel. Diese Überlagerung von multiplen (erinnerungs- und geschichtspolitischen Blinden Flecken und die psychologischen Dimensionen von Heimsuchung und des Trauma, bilden die Grundlage von Uriel Orlows Ansatz. In seinen Ausstellungen finden sich keine abgeschlossenen Werke.
