Tough both the general t.p. and the Preface for Part 1 have the date 1749, the first play has a separate t.p. dated 1754, the next each have a.t.p. dated 1756, and the last two are dated 1749. The Freiburg copy would thus seem to be a later assemblage and not the volume as originally issued
