Another comparative analysis of the resulting data from 5 countries identified local beliefs about HIV/AIDS, the community and household responses and the inter-relations between the two. A third set of studies first collected data in 4 countries on gender relations, sexual communication and negotiation followed by an intervention to strengthen women's capacity in these latter areas. The report finishes with specific recommendations
